Actress Bukky Amos talks on her plans after ‘Sisi Marwa’ movie

Nigerian born star actress based in the United States of America, Bukky Amos-Bello popularly known as Arewa by her fans, has revealed her plans for the New Year, after her hugely successful movie, Sisi Marwa.

According to the beautiful actress cum producer, she said,

“Year 2020 was very challenging for me, and I know its everywhere due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but I am grateful for the achievements recorded last year, especially with the release of Sisi Marwa; a two part movie that has attracted a lot of accolades from Yoruba movie lovers. It is still making waves till now on YouTube, and I must confess that I am indeed grateful to God.

“The year(2020) also gave me the courage to officially launch my foundation, Maria Oladapo Foundation, named after my mom and that is indeed a joy to me.”

Recall that the actress spent about N10 million worth of relief materials to assist the less privileged people identi­fied in five Southwest states- Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun to support the government’s initiative on relief packages with the month of June, 2020.

On her plans for the new year, the sultry actress revealed that, she intends to put in more efforts on the NGO this year, especially as the second wave of the dreaded Covid-19 is yet to abate.

“There are people who needs assistance, and our plan is to help provide succour through the foundation; so we shall be doing more to assist the less privileged people this year, and our team are working tirelessly to reach out to the ones within our scope.”

Asked if there is a movie project for the new year, she said,

“I can’t rule that out for now, but we are still enjoying the patronage from the movie, Sisi Marwa.

“In fact, we have been notified that the movie has been nominated for an award in Lagos in February 2021, so we are not in a hurry for another project in terms of movies”.

The movie star who started her career as actress cum producer over 20 years ago with the movie Arewa which launched her into prominence, is also the producer of Ajitanawo.

Bukky Amos-Bello started out as a model, and was once the face of the United Kingdom’s telecoms giant, T-MOBILE; a mouth-watering deal that puts her comfortably as one of the richest Youba movie actresses in the diaspora.
